Constructing Excellence in Wales are pleased to present its third annual summit kindly sponsored by AtkinsRealis. Bringing together representatives from Welsh Government, industry leaders and sector stakeholders to explore key policy, planning and governance issues shaping the future of construction in Wales.
The summit will provide a platform for informed discussion, knowledge sharing and collaboration across the construction and built environment sector.
A synopsis of the facilitated workshop session at 11.30am is shown below:
Wales is heading into a pivotal election period and with it comes the prospect of significant change in policy direction, capital allocation and delivery priorities. For the built environment sector, this is a moment of real opportunity for those ready to understand and respond to what comes next.
In this focused and interactive session, Gwilym Morris and Paul Pavia of The Pollen Shop will explore what political change could mean for infrastructure, housing and regeneration across Wales. Drawing on Gwilym’s recent work with colleagues in Welsh Government and public sector organisations on capital planning and long term investment modelling, the discussion will provide insight into how spending decisions are being shaped and where future opportunities are likely to emerge.
Designed to be candid and forward looking, the session will help leaders think strategically about how to position their organisations in a changing policy and investment landscape.
