Lorna is the Head of Corporate Landlord at the Vale of Glamorgan Council, bringing nearly 30 years of post‑qualification experience as a Chartered Surveyor across both the public and private sectors. In her current role, she leads a multidisciplinary Corporate Landlord Service that oversees the Council’s extensive land and building portfolio, including estates, facilities management, energy, consultancy and design, mechanical and electrical services and cost control functions. She is responsible for shaping estate strategies, managing complex acquisitions and disposals, and ensuring strategic asset management aligns with the Council’s long‑term objectives and capital programme delivery.
Her leadership has supported the Council’s transformation toward a more cohesive and efficient corporate landlord model, helping to modernise asset oversight and maximise community benefit. Lorna has been an influential figure in the wider property profession in Wales. She is a past Chair of the Association of Chief Estates Surveyors in Wales and serves as a Local Government representative—and Vice Chair—on the Board of Ystadau Cymru, which supports best‑practice asset management across public services. Her earlier career includes roles with British Gas (Wales) and Blockbuster Entertainment Corporation, further broadening her experience across corporate and commercial sectors. Lorna holds a BSc (Hons) in Urban Estates Management from the University of Glamorgan and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. She is recognised for her strategic approach, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to delivering high‑quality public services through effective stewardship of public assets.
