Metro & Us will take place at The DEPOT, Cardiff on Thursday 4th June 2026, bringing together stakeholders to examine the impact of investment in the South Wales Metro and what is needed to maximise its benefits for the region.
The conference will feature a programme of sessions focused on transport, housing, regeneration and economic growth across South East Wales. Speakers will include representatives from across sectors, who will share perspectives on how the Metro is shaping connectivity, communities and opportunities.
The programme will cover a range of topics, including:
- Public transport connectivity, car dependency and active travel.
- Implications for housing, business and local high streets.
- Social mobility – access to jobs, education and training, leisure and the arts.
- Public-private sector partnerships and future funding.
