We can all learn from each other and now, in the midst of a climate emergency it is more important than ever. How we build, design and manage our facilities, homes, schools and infrastructure needs to adapt to the climate change we are facing and to align with UN sustainable development goals and the principles of the Wellbeing Future Generations Act.
With that in mind, it is worth taking a look at the RSAW Spring CPD Programme: check link to the programme is here
One concept we are excited by is Active Buildings. Active Buildings are buildings that intelligently integrate renewable energy generation for heat, power and transport, supporting local and wider energy infrastructure. The RSAW have teamed up with Joanna Clarke from SPECIFIC, Swansea University to offer a workshop for Architects to learn more about Active Buildings and contribute to an Active Building Design Guide currently under development. If you are one of the 865 Architects who have signed up to the Architects Declare Climate and Biodiversity Emergency and you’re serious about your commitment to this, can you afford not to attend this session?
