UWTSD Innovation Matrix is complete
The Innovation Matrix, a new state-of-the-art building and eco-system focused on digital innovation, has been built in the heart of Swansea’s SA1 Innovation Quarter.
The project which is funded through a strategic partnership between the University and the Swansea Bay City Deal. The 2,200 sq. m Innovation Matrix is situated alongside the University’s existing IQ and Y Fforwm buildings. It offers a unique opportunity for businesses to connect through co-location in high quality space and to partner with UWTSD.
Existing businesses looking for growth as well as dynamic start-ups will gain access to UWTSD’s cutting-edge facilities as well as specialist technical support to help accelerate new product development.
£6 million of contracts have been secured by Wales-based businesses via Kier Construction. Kier have provided a range of job opportunities, with a total of 29 apprenticeships and work placements linked to the construction work.
