Ty Hafan - Help with repairs
The doors to the Ty Hafans Hospice opened 25 years ago and in that time, they have funded numerous renovations to be able to better support children with life shortening conditions and their families. This year they have started to experience some unforeseen costs which have been getting worse with the terrible weather we have been having. They have lots of maintenance projects that desperately need to be addressed, including a leaking roof and overflowing gutters causing leaks, which as you can imagine come at a high cost to fix which will take costs away from the support they can provide.
They are therefore reaching out to supporters to see if they can help in any way or work with suppliers/customers that you could introduce them to that you think maybe able to help with either time or resource donations. The specific help that they need is highlighted below:
Roof repairs and internal repairs as a result of water damage – Priority focus
Gutter cleaning which is causing a leak – Priority focus
DPC
Chippings
New fencing
If you would be happy to have a chat to them about supporting any of the following they would be very grateful.
Skill based volunteering – Such as gutter cleaning, roofing repairs, repairing internal water damage, surveying to help us identify improved efficiencies to keep costs down, scaffolding
Product donations – Such as DPC, fencing, chippings, resources for a new roof
They are also regularly experiencing repair and maintenance investment and so they are starting to compile a list of people within the sector who could provide Gift in Kind Support (Skill Based Volunteering and Product Donations etc).
