Siderise Insulation opens new production line at South Wales Headquarters
Passive fire protection manufacturer, Siderise Insulation, is gearing up to open its second production line after another multi-million-pound investment in its Maesteg site, following the opening of its new £1 million Innovation Centre earlier this year.
The new high-speed, automated line will allow it to increase production of its unique Lamella insulation by over 100%. Modified on the production line to suit its intended application, this fire-resistant insulation material was invented by the company in the early 1990s, with vertical insulation fibres to offer improved fit and increased resilience against building movement.
In addition to opening new job opportunities in the region, the new line will also allow the company to continue to put Wales on the map for fire safety innovation, helping to stabilise production productivity and ensure the company can continue meet the growing global demand for its high-performance products.
