Siderise achieves Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) Verified Status for its CW-FS perimeter barriers and firestops for curtain walling
The Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) sets an industry standard for how product information for construction products should be created, presented, and marketed. By being among the first companies to achieve CCPI status for products in its range, Siderise is demonstrating its commitment to integrity by ensuring product information is clear accurate, up-to-date, accessible, and unambiguous
The company has achieved Verified Status for four of its CW-FS products: CW-CB30, CW-FS60, CW-FS120, and CW-FS180.
From the earliest design stages through to construction and building use, accurate product information is critical to building safety, performance, and longevity. In her landmark 2018 ‘Building a Safer Future’ report, Dame Judith Hackitt highlighted the need for “a clearer, more transparent and more effective specification and testing regime” with “clearer labelling and marketing which will help procurers make informed decisions”. This mission was met by the Construction Product Association (CPA), who initiated the creation of the CCPI to provide a standard for construction product information in the marketplace.
In practice, this sets a level playing field for those in specification and procurement, ensuring that the products they evaluate and choose are not only appropriate for their project, but that their performance claims are evidenced by relevant testing regimes and independent certifications.
As Siderise continues to push towards achieving CCPI-approved status for our full range of products it helps to encourage others within the industry to do the same. If all work towards this it will ensure that all working within the construction industry present their products in a clear, accurate, and unambiguous way.
