A note for our members and supporters on COVID-19
Like you, we have been addressing the complex and evolving challenges created by the coronavirus (COVID-19). Following recent events and escalation over the past few days, I wanted to update you on our current status and approach.
Operational continuity
Our top priorities are taking care of our people and supporting our members, to ensure we continue to provide you with excellent value, while working safely. We have followed guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO), UK and Welsh Governments.
As necessary, we have taken decisions to alter our pattern of working and restrict travel to safeguard our people. We are enabling and supporting our team to continue to work productively through remote working where possible and the use of video conferencing and other virtual tools.
Crucially, we remain fully operational. Our team continues to support all our members and their needs through these modified working practices.
We are confident in the resilience of our business and our ability to continue to provide our members with value of membership throughout this period, whilst supporting the health and wellbeing of everyone. Our Business Continuity Plans below detail the measures and practical steps we are taking in response to the risks posed by COVID-19.
Awards
Currently, our Annual Awards Dinner is scheduled for 17th July. We are in talks with the Celtic Manor about rescheduling if that becomes the case. We are continuing as normal with the initial round of judging re the preparation of the Shortlist. We will of course monitor this position constantly and inform you of any changes as and when they occur.
Theme Groups & meetings
These will be moved on line and joining details will be sent well ahead of time. We held our first Skype Meeting yesterday morning with the Procurement Forum and everyone agreed it was a success.
These are unprecedented times, but we continue our drive to transform the performance of the construction industry. We remain dedicated to working together in navigating the challenges ahead.
Kind regards
Milica Kitson
