CEWales Newsletter Nov 24

Last Friday, Sue and I had the pleasure of joining the rest of our colleagues from Constructing Excellence and the built environment for the CE National Awards in London…… and what a night it was!! Wales took home 4 wins and a highly commended; demonstrating the very highest performance in the sector throughout the UK. It is always such a fantastic event, celebrating, inspiring and awarding the very best practice projects, schemes of work and people from across the entire built environment.

CONGRATULATIONS to all involved!

The CEWales winners demonstrate outstanding examples of what local authorities, designers, consultants, contractors and the entire Welsh built environment supply chain are achieving. Each project captures what is best about Welsh construction, benefitting our communities and the people who work and live within them. The award winners set a benchmark for best practice not only here in Wales but also across the UK, they demonstrate the core strength of construction in Wales. We are grateful to everyone involved, all our Welsh winners, those shortlisted and our national winners for the leadership they are showing.

We will be launching the 2025 awards after our Senedd event on 5th December, at which we will be announcing the winners of the G4C Wales 2024 Awards, as well as in recognition of CEWales Award winners. The G4C Wales awards is a first for many years, so we very much hope you will be joining us! The event is sponsored by Sarah Murphy MS, Minister for Mental Health & Wellbeing. A keynote speech will be given by Rebecca Evans MS, Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy & Planning. We look forward to seeing you all there around the Senedd Christmas tree.
