CECA Wales & The Welsh Infrastructure Alliance (WIA) : Politics and Infrastructure Update Webinar 22nd October 2024

Whether we like it or not we can’t disengage politics from the infrastructure sector. Many would argue that we shouldn’t, anyway, given the impact that infrastructure projects have on our communities and our nation.

Following the significant political changes that we’ve experienced over the last few months, a new Labour Government at Westminster and a new First Minister and Cabinet for the Welsh Labour Government in Cardiff Bay, we need to understand the political landscape if we’re to influence future plans for our sector. And, given the amount of infrastructure related decisions being made in Wales, this becomes even more important with a Senedd election on the way in a couple of years’ time.

That’s why the Welsh Infrastructure Alliance (WIA) is hosting a “Politics and Infrastructure” lunchtime webinar on 22nd October 2024 to provide an insight into the political landscape in Wales, the impact of UK, European and global influences, and where we might be headed in terms of the policy, legislative and investment priorities which will impact our sector.

The webinar will be facilitated by Ed Evans, Director of CECA Wales, and public affairs consultancy, Camlas, will be delivering their perspective on these priorities. They will also invite specific questions from delegates on matters that impact them, their businesses and their customers.
