CECA Wales Leadership Challenge
The annual CECA Wales Leadership Challenge event will be held this year on 13th and 14th June 2019.
The event is aimed at the "brightest and the best" in our industry to test their leadership and team working capabilities in a fun but competitive environment. It has been developed in partnership with the Armed Forces, is being held at Cwrt y Gollen Army Camp at Cwrt-Y-Gollen, Crickhowel, Powys NP8 1TA, with an overnight stay on 13th June 2019.
The programme will include hands on activities such as tasks linked to bridge building and water supplies, all performed in a 'military' environment under the guidance of the Royal Monmouthshire Engineers. There will also be an assault course and other outdoor activities.
The Armed Forces planning team will ensure that the challenge tasks are relevant to the requirements of our industry, and participants will be pushed out of their comfort zone: as well the physical challenges, the engineering tasks require planning and leadership skills, thinking "on your feet" and excellent team work. The positive outcomes for the participants, and ultimately their employers, are numerous: career and personal development, the chance to learn new skills and meet different people from other organisations, make new friends, and be motivated to stay in the industry for the longer term.
Employers will be invited to come along to watch the assault course challenge at the end of the challenge on 14th June, which will be followed by presentations and lunch.
If you are interested in taking part please contact Ed Evans or Deborah Gray at CECA Wales for further details.
