Building an optimised retrofit team
Optimised Retrofit is the big opportunity for Wales and Welsh construction and the recruitment, training and equipping of the Welsh construction sector, especially SMEs and sole traders is crucial to getting it right. Find out about our training on 8th June
For the Welsh Government’s £13m Optimised Retrofit programme to succeed we need to recruit, train and equip Welsh construction so it can successfully decarbonise the first 1,800 Pathfinder Homes.
It’s the start of what will be a huge and vital undertaking and it will be led by the beating heart of Welsh construction: small builders, plumbers, electricians, builders merchants and their suppliers. But what does it mean in practice? Why is it so good? What’s all the fuss about? How can you get involved?
Tune in, log on and find out in an online webinar on 8th June at 1pm, led by a team from the Optimised Retrofit consortium. You’ll hear from –
- Andy Sutton, Co-Founder, Director of Design & Innovation, Sero/Alun Watkins, Project Manager, Sero – setting out the Optimised Retrofit programme
- Wyn Pritchard, Director of Construction Skills and Business Strategy, NPTC Group – explaining the skills and training to get the job done
- Glen Finch, Associate, Ark Consultancy – how to become involved
- Paul Gibson, Director, Gibson STS Ltd – what it means for an SME
They will explain why decarbonising Welsh homes is so important, how this first step in the journey might affect transforming another 1.4m homes in Wales to Net Zero and the role for Welsh builders, plumbers, electricians and merchants.
It’s an exciting and ground breaking project and it’s your chance to play a leading role. Register here and find out how.
This webinar will be run using Zoom or Teams, a link will be sent closer to the date.
