Kathryn is a Graduate Civil Engineer within the Highways and Active Travel Team at AtkinsRéalis Wales. She has contributed to a wide range of highway and transport projects, including the Newgale Coastal Adaptation Scheme, Llanelli Multi-Modal Transport Interchange, A48 Nantycaws Junction improvements, and multiple signage schemes.
Kathryn is building a reputation as a future leader. In addition to her technical role, she manages the Transportation Early Careers (TEC) Forum, running initiatives that benefit over 500 early career employees. She also served an 18-month term representing Transportation at the AtkinsRéalis UK&E Graduate Forum, driving improvements to graduate development programmes and increasing senior-level sponsorship across key teams including Social Value, Health & Safety, and Technical Leadership.
In November, she was selected as the ICE Wales Cymru Chair’s Future Leader, a role that provides insight into professional governance and infrastructure policy. Kathryn also helped establish the Youth Advisors Initiative, an Employee Resource Group that amplifies the voices of 18–35-year-olds in the company, running networking lunches and webinars to improve engagement, mentoring, and career development opportunities.
