Woodknowledge Wales - Minimising Embodied Carbon Course
This course introduces social housing developers, their design teams, contractors and suppliers to Embodied Carbon and its relevance for future housing.
It provides participants with practical information on how to procure and undertake an Embodied Carbon assessment, what benchmarks can be set, which tools can be used and how Embodied Carbon can be reduced. Case studies and examples will illustrate how others have tackled Embodied Carbon within their organisations and projects, with a focus on housing. The aim of the course is to empower teams in social housing to minimise Embodied Carbon in new developments.
This course is delivered across two half-days by the authors of the Embodied Carbon Guidance, Jane Anderson (ConstructionLCA) and Katherine Adams (ASBP). It is delivered as part of the Forest Nation Center training programme.
