CEWales Active Travel Training March 8th, 10th, 15th & 17th
But do designers, planners and policy makers really understand what is meant by Active Travel? Are the principles of Active Travel Act applied at every opportunity? Do you know what they are?
To get the best professional advice, training and guidance delivered by Phil Jones Associates (PJA) on behalf of CEWales sign up for our online Active Travel learning and development sessions.
Four 90-minute sessions over two weeks costs £230/person and our training will take place on 8th, 10th, 15th & 17th March. Courses are limited to 15 places. Email info@cewales.org.uk to register.
Active Travel is an inherently good thing. All of us benefit from exercise and movement. But it is overlooked, practitioners isolated and often schemes are not connected. Our training joins those dots. It provides a solid introduction to walking and cycling and is suitable for professionals in transport planning, transport policy, highway engineering, development planning and road safety on the client and consultant side to contractors delivering the project.
Delivered by PJA, our training is coordinated by Just Ride the Bike and backed by CECA Wales and supported Welsh Government and Transport for Wales. Following the sessions clients and consultants will be able to plan a cycling and walking network, knowing the key issues which underpin best practice planning and design.
We ran two successful trainings last year here is an example of some of the feedback: –
“The course covered everything I needed to know at an entry level, and at a pace I could follow without getting lost. And it has given me some good ideas to take forward.”
“The course delivery was great and informative.”
