Ambrose McGuire is a Civil Engineer responsible as Project Client working in partnership with the EKFB JV for delivery of one of the HS2 Main Works Civil Contracts covering some 80km of the line of route from Great Missenden in Buckinghamshire through Northamptonshire to South Warwickshire. A Civil Engineer by background, he has served on the Boards of 4 UK professional services practices. He has client-side and programme management experience in the UK, Middle East, Canada and Eastern Europe.
He currently serves as the Non-Executive Director for the Royal Engineers, providing support to the Chief Royal Engineer on the non-operational activities of the Corps. In 2017 and 2018, he was a visiting lecturer at the Oxford Said Business School Major Programme Leadership Academy (MPLA) presenting real life experience of issues arising in the field of programme management.
In 2018, he was the principal advisor on the development and execution of the programme management plan for the Metrolinx Rail programme in Toronto, Canada.
Prior to his assignment in Canada, he was Programme Director for the Cascade Joint Venture acting as technical partner for the £5bn Lower Thames Crossing Programme. Ambrose is married with 2 daughters and enjoys refereeing rugby union and sailing a refurbished masthead sloop sailing boat.
