We would like to invite you to attend the next Women in Construction (WiC) Wales network event. It will be held in partnership with Bridgend College on Tuesday 3rd December 2013 between 5.30 and 7.30pm. We will be inviting female trainees alongside women currently working in the sector to join us at the Pencoed Campus.
We’re delighted that Ann Marie Smale, a director of Powell Dobson Architects, a 70 strong practice with offices in Cardiff, Swansea and London will be joining us. Ann-Marie sits on the construction panel for Welsh Government, providing advice to Ministers and officials about the opportunities and needs of the sector to help develop and implement policies. She is Chair of the Professional Services Sector Group for CITB and Chair of CIC Wales representing the nation at the UK wide group. She has received recognition as a role model for women in construction and we are looking forward to hearing about her own career in construction as well as her thoughts on the opportunities and challenges for women in the sector.
The evening will begin at 5.30pm with light refreshments and the opportunity to network, followed by a talk and Q&A session with Ann-Marie. Come and meet a wide range of women from across the construction sector, gain valuable business contacts, inspire and support others in the industry and hear about training and business opportunities to further your business or career.
