Woodknowledge Wales Training Workshop “Installation of Timber Cladding” – Merthyr Tydfil

In response to the increasing interest in the correct design, installation, detailing and finishing of timber cladding, WKW is providing a further training event, tailored to the needs of specifiers, builders and installers of timber cladding.

The event will be led by Mr Ivor Davies (Napier University), who is amongst the foremost experts on timber cladding in the UK. The first part of the event will include a detailed description of design and performance of cladding which will be of particular interest to architects and specifiers. The second session will concentrate on the correct installation of timber cladding, using visual examples of good and bad practices.  Each session will provide ample opportunity for questions and time will be allowed for a detailed viewing of the cladding on the Garwnant visitor centre buildings, which has been in place for several years.            

Delegates are welcome to attend either the whole workshop or just one of the sessions and should indicate their choice on the attached booking form.  CPD certificates will be sent out after the event to those who request them.
