A ‘Final Peer Review’ for the Constructing Excellence in Wales Demonstration Programme

Monmouthshire County Council’s Education Strategic Review commenced in 2003, the aim being to meet the National Assembly’s desire to bring all schools up to standard.

In order to meet the likely programme and to achieve the benefits of a long-term relationship, a single contractor collaboration was formed, through two separate tendering processes with Willmott Dixon Construction Ltd.

The key feature of this Demonstration Project is the opportunity to take full advantage of the long term alliance to continually improve performance through the twin themes of Integrated Teams and Sustainability.

In November 2008, the Education Review was endorsed by the Demonstration Project Panel as part of the Demonstration Programme. The intention of Monmouthshire County Council was that the panel could revisit various projects to monitor progress over a period of time. The latest project in this programme is Rogiet Primary School, a new 210 place school presently under construction and due for completion later this year.

This is your opportunity not only to find out but also to participate in the discussion and provide your own ‘review’ or assessment of the project via a simple scoring mechanism. This forms the final stage in the process of a ‘demonstration project’.  

The Demonstration Programme for Wales is designed to promote Best Practice and innovation in construction through a wide ranging programme of projects and initiatives throughout Wales.

The event will take place at Rogiet Primary School, commencing with registration at 4.00pm and will conclude at approx 6.00pm with an optional tour of the facilities. PPE is required for the site visit

There is no charge for the event. To reserve your place please reply to the email below stating your full contact details and the names of all delegates wishing to attend. Once registered we will send you the necessary details for the event. Non attendance by any registered delegate will be charged at £40 (plus VAT) unless you have informed us by Friday 21st August.
